awesome graffiti

Last week I bought a stack of 3 for a $1 paperbacks because the cover art and type were too good to pass up. And because isn't that just what I need: more art projects and books and fresh visuals and dusty, smelly paperbacks?

Anyway, I get home and I'm giggling about the funny, yellowed covers and I flip open one titled: The Polaroid Club: Book I, by William Davis.

I'm thinking it's going to be some kind of photo taking manual. But instead I open the book to:

"I'll prove it to you, sweetheart," Howard was saying in his mellifluous voice. "Ralph gave me some pictures tonight. I didn't want them but I took them anyway. We'll look at them together, and what will happen is that..."

Hmm, what is this all about?

Total porn.

I had bought a dirty Adult paperback published in 1970 about a dude who is trying to convince his wife to pose for nudie pictures so they can join a swingers club. It's really great.

And I thought the postcard/book cover with the cats was fabulous...

Was there any mention of Raoul?

Can I spell sucks any louder?

S-U-C-K-S, sucks is what my blog host does.

I've been trying to post New York-y things all day but have been unable.

SUCKS.

I guess that's where we're different--I would never have thought the Poloroid book was actually about phototography.

In the book Howard sets up a tripod and a timer for the Polaroid so he can get in on the action. How great is that. I'll let you borrow the book next time I see you--an excellent read.
