impromtu roadside interviews

When I arrived in New York I had red eyes from my red eye which where made greener after a longish subway ride from JFK to the best vegetarian junk food meal ever: the 'shrooms burger at Shake Shack.

My goodness.

Deep fried ooey-gooey goodness.

And then a mani-pedi (dark, dark purple toes and bright, bright pink fingers) finished with a shoulder massage across the street.

I walked back to the hotel, checked in, took a shower, and felt sort of human again. Then I rushed off to Bliss SoHo for a facial that was truly blissful. I fell asleep. Then voilà, I'm revitalized.

Met my mother at Balthazar at seven or so, and so the evening began.

Three hours of sleep on an airplane is awesome.

And I didn't shower again after the facial so I had this truly strange hair-do, but all a-glow-y like. The Champagne helped that effect, I suppose.

Love it here like I love lots of things, but only more.

What am I talking about.

I love it like I love the 2 for 1 happy hour at my hotel.

And like I love my Via Spiga boots that my jeans tuck into just fine and take me walking and walking and walking.
