    easter basket

It starts with clapclap, goes by way of waxy, has a via clusterflock, on to Kottke (who has a guest blogger, no less), then designing god Michael Beirut puts it Design Observer's column, bloggies like this one join suit....and...voila: "Hallelujah" is the number one song on iTunes. Awesome.

Well, I suspect a contestent on American Idol singing the song this week had something to do with it as well.

I would be embarrassed, only I love it that I didn't know that.

I get confused by how to spell embarrassed in the same way I have to pause when I spell tomorrow and success. Very odd. After all this time. It's like habitual bad spelling.

I have a friend who has a friend who does the hair for that show that I've never seen before.

One time we were driving--to a party at Moraga vineyards, that beautiful spot in a neighborhood near the Getty---and my friend says something about a sun ray and a hawk. Or something. I'm not sure. I was completely confused by the words coming out of her mouth. She says it again. What? She says it again. And I look at her like she's speaking Greek or something. And then she cracks up and says, I love it that you have no idea what I'm talking about.

And what she was talking about was an A.I. contestant with a funny and I guess famous haircut.

Another show I've never seen is Oprah. I just cannot do it. Cannot participate. Didn't even watch it when my friend Govind was on.

I actually have a personal policy to never watch television when it is daylight outside. Unless of course it is football or the Lakers.

I enjoy the daytime television. Here's my dream schedule--coffee, Mike & Mike, Ellen--or Regis lately because I'm sorta over Ellen, The View until I puke, What Not To Wear, pork rinds, Sportscenter, Mythbusters, Americia's Funniest Home Video Re-runs, Andy Griffith on Nick, Rachael Ray, Oprah and the first five minutes of my local news just to see if there's been a house fire. Then it's a quick snack and on into my evening viewing time.
